We are excited to announce that we will open our 6th TAKEOVER: ONE by Miragenesi on October 24 at 6 PM.
This exhibition follows Hours Slip Away: An Ambiguous Dance by Irena Kukrić, which ran from October 10 to 21. The vernissage on the 10th was beautiful. One of the great things about organizing the TAKEOVERs has been seeing how different artists transform the space. For those who missed it, Irena created an immersive and contemplative rhythm that evening. The atmosphere was one of quiet reflection as visitors settled in to experience the 17-minute performance, which the non-human actors repeated seamlessly throughout the evening.
Following three TAKEOVERs with an installation at the center, we will turn our focus back to the screens next week. ONE will showcase a three-part conceptual series of “protocol art”, also referred to as “on-chain art” and “block-chain art.” Protocol art is a subset of NFT art where visuals, trading mechanics, and/or evolution algorithms are programmed into the NFTs without relying on external resources. The NFTs will exist as long as Ethereum does.
In his own words, Miragenesi was born between Pac-Man and The Ghostbusters movie. He has a background in computer science and is fascinated by the possibilities blockchain technologies can offer to the art world. At the beginning of 2021, he collaborated on his first NFT project, Astrum, a collection of audio-visual artworks celebrating the wonders of the night sky. Following Astrum, he created the on-chain dynamic artwork Moon in Motion, which displays the moon's current phase. Since then, he has worked on several protocol art projects, creating interactive art that evolves and leverages the unique capabilities of Smart Contracts that engage both emotional and financial aspects and their relationship.
The exhibition concludes a series of NFT collections exploring opposites of human existence, from despair to hope, ultimately resolving into one. We will present two already released series, HAVOC and Ascension, and one new work by Miragenesi positioned between them, called ONE.

HAVOC is a series of NFTs that mirror the anxiety of market volatility, intensifying as Ethereum spirals downward. In contrast, Ascension conveys increasing euphoria when the market climbs.
ONE is the last stage of the conceptual journey and will open up for minting during the vernissage. ONE will evolve as more people acquire a piece or trade their part. You can find more information about the project and sales dynamics here.

With a heavy heart, we have to announce that on Wednesday, October 30th, we will hold our final TAKEOVER event at the Bright Moments Gallery on Auguststrasse 86. We promise a night full of generative art and good vibes!
Despite the Bright Moments space no longer being available to us, we would love to continue the TAKEOVERs in new places. If you know a good spot, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
